She attended Mercy School of Nursing, where she became a registered nurse. Before her retirement, Anne worked as a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital, Scranton, in the ICU/CCU unit. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Dunmore. Elizabeth M. Hennigan of Clarks Summit died Saturday at Willow Brook Place, Clarks Summit surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Hennigan who died in 1971.

Frank served multiple tours of duty in the Republic of Vietnam as an Infantry Company Commander, MACY CORDS Advisor and MACY ARVIN IG Advisor. He was the recipient of fifteen awards and commendations. Among his awards are two Bronze Stars W/V device, the Combat Infantry Badge, Purple Heart and Army Airborne Badge. His last duty station was at the University of Scranton ROTC Department. Diane Rosenkrans of Dunmore died Sunday at Geisinger-CMC.

Elsa repeatedly outlived everything from a broken neck to a COVID-19 infection. When Bob’s dementia progressed, Elsa decided to move into memory care together so she could keep an eye on him. Wherever they were, Bob and Elsa kept making friends. And whenever Elsa met somebody in need, she wanted to help them. Prior to his retirement, Dick worked as an armored car driver for Dunbar Armored Car and previously Lowell Armored Car.

Lorayne enjoyed simple pleasures, family and friends, a cocktail, dining out, Marywood Seminary alumni events and cosmetics. Gene was a lot of things to many people, but above all he was a dedicated and loving father who would do anything to ensure his family was taken care of. He always said “see the glass as half full, not half empty,” and he brought that positivity and light to everyone who had the pleasure to call him a friend. A private mass of Christian burial was held at Immaculate Conception Church 800 Taylor Avenue. Susan and John enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world including Ireland, Helsinki, Estonia, London, Vietnam, Paris, and her absolute favorite, Aix-en-Provence.

A true Irishman, Clair had a story for every occasion as well as the uncanny ability of remembering every person he met. Professionally, Nancy was a dedicated nurse who at various times was responsible for running short stay and intensive care units at the State Hospital and CMC. The family would like to thank all the aides, nurses, and physicians who showed tremendous compassion throughout his care over the past several months.

He also taught business law at the University of Scranton and was for twenty-five years a Special Assistant Attorney General of Pennsylvania. Toward the end of his career he was Special Trial Master for the Lackawanna County Court and was recognized by the Lackawanna County Bar Association with its Exemplary Service Award. William (“Buddy”) Joseph Cosgrove was born on March 18, 1929 in South Scranton, Pennsylvania. And Mary L. Cosgrove, and brother to the late Mary Jean Cleary, Joan Williams, and Peggy Sillner, all of Scranton. He died peacefully on April 8, 2022, surrounded by his family.

He graduated from Scranton Preparatory School in 1960 and the University of Scranton in 1964, where he was president of his class, president of the student body, and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the national Jesuit Honor Society. He also served as president of the university’s National Alumni Society. He received a juris doctorate from Villanova University School of Law in 1967. He then became the first law clerk for Lackawanna Court, clerking for Judges Hoban, Robinson, Conaboy and Kosik. He practiced civil law in Scranton for more than fifty years and was admitted to the Lackawanna Court of Common Pleas, all Pennsylvania appellate courts, the federal Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of International Trade.

Buddy enjoyed a long and distinguished career serving our country in the military. In 1947, he enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard 109th Division. One year later in 1948, he enlisted in the Army, serving honorably as part of the allied occupation forces in Europe.

Henry Patrick Burke died at his Dunmore home and passed into eternal life on March 7, 2022. He was the son of the late Thomas and Dorothy McCloskey Burke. He was husband to Alyce McCrone Burke, his wife of forty-six years. Patrick, Jr., wife Sara of Dunmore, and Daniel, wife Suzanne of Dickson City. Also surviving is his brother, Thomas, of Lemasters, PA. Henry is also survived by numerous Burke and McAllister nieces and nephews, with whom he shared a special bond.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gene’s memory to the Boys Club of Scranton, St. Francis of Assisi Soup Kitchen or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. We ask all of our friends and family to rejoice and remember Gene’s life and spirit filled with joy and hope and light. Nancy was an amazing mother who devoted her life to her children and was a fun and loving grandmother. Having grown up on a dairy farm, Nancy had a lifelong passion for all animals, especially her canines. During his life on the basketball court, in college, and in business, Steve developed lifelong friendships.

Sisk 17th September John RIP, beloved husband of Anne , loving father of Marysia , Martin and Cecilia and dear brother of the late Seamus and Paul. On Saturday June 12, 2021 Margaret ” Marge” Reilly was joined in heaven with her husband Thomas ” Tucker” Reilly and son Thomas Jr., along with her sisters Annie, Genet, Irene, Nancy, Olga, Mary and brother Andrew. One of her favorite things to do was organizing many family gatherings, especially at the summer house at Lake Winola. Family and friends were always welcome and the meals were delicious.
